I was just in the kitchen grinding coffee at 12:30am because I bought a pound today in anticipation of Starbucks* being closed and I was going to get it ground but when the barista said “would you like this grounded?” I had a bad grammar panic, kind of like gay panic, and said no because I have a small, shitty grinder at home and I was imagining hypothetical places where the conversation could go where I’d have to choose between passive aggressively correcting her by saying “ground” or outwardly insulting humanity by saying “grounded” and I found it best to avoid it altogether but then I just realized that if the power goes out I won’t be able to grind coffee so I just did it now because access to coffee is literally the first thing I think about in any situation like this haha maybe not the best story but better than most of the drivel I read on here jk love you guys but seriously one or two of you could use an editor because not everything that happens is significant**.
*I go to Starbucks every day but I feel like it’s ok because it’s literally on my block and they all know me there and my parents go to Applebee’s once a week and tell me about the servers remembering them so feeling at home in soulless, shitty chains is in my genes I think
